OUR HISTORY

Renz was founded on August 10, 1959, by Mr. José Luis Barrio Martinez in the city of Bragança Paulista, in the State of São Paulo.

Initial production consisted of analog voltmeters for voltage regulators. Over the years, the company developed analog ammeters, selector switches, and their components, thereby meeting the demand from manufacturers of voltage regulators and battery chargers.

Between 1980 and 1990, the company, in partnership with suppliers from both the domestic and international markets, developed a wide range of instruments dedicated to measuring electrical quantities. During this period, it also launched analog instruments with a precision class of 1.5% (DC and AC), in addition to the production of vibrating-reed frequency meters, Current Transformers (CTs), and Current Shunts.

In 2000, the company began a partnership with a supplier for its line of digital instruments with a precision class of 1.0%.

In the following years, in order to meet market expectations, the company developed innovative models of analog instruments with bold designs and distinctive sizes, in addition to introducing electrical selector switches into its product line.

In 2005, the company's management decided to join the select group of companies certified under the Quality Management System. The following year, it was certified under the NBR ISO 9001 standard by BSI – Quality Management System.

In 2011, the company launched onto the market its Electrical Quantity Multimeters and Power Factor Controller, which feature important distinguishing characteristics, such as: USB Input (optional), Management Software (Self Control), RS-485 Communication (Mod Bus – RTU), and other applicable features.
The company sells throughout the national territory and has sales representatives in the most competitive regions of the country. This prosperity is due to the dedication of the founder, material and financial resources, and, above all, the employees, who are an essential part of this success.

Today, Renz is managed by the founder's children, supported by managers, department heads, and employees, with the goal of ensuring the continuity of this great business legacy.
